After 33 minutes, Christos Ioannidis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liyiá and the Avgonyma players grew even worse after the yellow card. Avgonyma's Victor Sandaili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christos Ioannidis in the 41st minute of play. Theofanis Arnidis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Victor Sandaili made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christos Ioannidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christos Ioannidis in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Sandaili prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the game, Zisis Dimosthenous was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liyiá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avgonyma the free kick. After a rather tough play, Liyiá's Zisis Dimosthenous got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Makis Karantasios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61stth minute of the game Christos Ioannidis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avgonyma's Victor Sandaili was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christos Ioannidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Sandaili read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Christos Ioannidis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Liyiá fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. A collision led to Avgonyma getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Stavros Koutetes hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Avgonyma's goal looked a bit too open when Theofanis Arnidis came free, but Victor Sandaili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liyiá's attack was well implemented in the 73rd minute, but when Christos Ioannidis was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Andreas Kolibas kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. When Andreas Kolibas fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liyiá's protests and gave Andreas Kolibas a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christos Ioannidis in the 95th minute of play forced Avgonyma's goalkeeper Victor Sandaili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonis Iasonidis charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonis Iasonidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Avgonyma getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Antonis Iasonidis hit a great ball. Nikiforos Aggelidis, 98 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Liyiá's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
