The crowd rose to their feet as Ludomil Smolarek kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Themos Symeonakis. That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. Chrisostomos Seferis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themos Symeonakis having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, PAO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menelaos Anastasopoulos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in PAO FC's zone, Fragiskos Moras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Themos Symeonakis came out of the goal and Fragiskos Moras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Loukas Massoutas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Themos Symeonakis having to make a save. PAO FC were furious when Stelios Kanaridis was red carded, 22 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Ludomil Smolarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themos Symeonakis having to interfere. Manos Loizos hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. If Ludomil Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

PAO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ludomil Smolarek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chrisostomos Seferis in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Themos Symeonakis saved PAO FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chrisostomos Seferis in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Themos Symeonakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Chrisostomos Seferis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Themos Symeonakis was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After 73 played minutes PAO FC got a freekick which was hit by Errikos Merganiotis. Themos Symeonakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fragiskos Moras, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Chrisostomos Seferis sped through PAO FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Themos Symeonakis. Chrisostomos Seferis might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Themos Symeonakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
