After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Thanasis Mantas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Π.Α.Σ ΓΙΑΝΝΙΝΑ's supporters rose to their feet, but Thanasis Mantas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kostas Kazantzakoglou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manos Kifonidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ulf Pedersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kostas Kazantzakoglou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thanasis Mantas in the 24th minute. After some careless play in the mpookles defense, Thanasis Mantas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kostas Kazantzakoglou. The mpookles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostas Kazantzakoglou should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vaggelis Fotoulis in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kostas Kazantzakoglou saved mpookles from getting behind. Π.Α.Σ ΓΙΑΝΝΙΝΑ's Thanasis Mantas got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanasis Mantas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 37th playminute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vaggelis Fotoulis in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kostas Kazantzakoglou saved mpookles from getting behind. If Panagiotis Moraitidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alketas Kotsanakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kostas Kazantzakoglou having to make a save. Kostas Kazantzakoglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaggelis Fotoulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manos Kifonidis to strike the kick off in the second half. Ulf Pedersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manos Kifonidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 61st minute, Thanasis Mantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kostas Kazantzakoglou came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Π.Α.Σ ΓΙΑΝΝΙΝΑ's Vaggelis Fotoulis. But to his dismay, Vaggelis Fotoulis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Kostas Kazantzakoglou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaggelis Fotoulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vaggelis Fotoulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Kazantzakoglou having to interfere. Alketas Kotsanakis kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Vaggelis Fotoulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theagenis Lazaroglou's late challenge caught a Π.Α.Σ ΓΙΑΝΝΙΝΑ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Theagenis Lazaroglou helped the player get up and apologised. When Panagiotis Moraitidis came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the mpookles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Panagiotis Moraitidis couldn't finish the play. If Thanasis Mantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vaggelis Fotoulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vaggelis Fotoulis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kostas Kazantzakoglou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Vaggelis Fotoulis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Π.Α.Σ ΓΙΑΝΝΙΝΑ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaggelis Fotoulis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kostas Kazantzakoglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaggelis Fotoulis in the 92nd minute of the match. Vaggelis Fotoulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Kostas Kazantzakoglou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Π.Α.Σ ΓΙΑΝΝΙΝΑ fully deserved thier win.
