Alkis Spiliotis's late challenge caught a Team Lucifer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alkis Spiliotis helped the player get up and apologised. 8 minutes into the match, Aris Rodostoglou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenios Kalouptsidis. PANATHINAIKOS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aris Rodostoglou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Themis Peridis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 14th minute. PANATHINAIKOS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Nikos Kioubouroglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Konstantinos Ntaliardos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Themis Peridis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstantinos Ntaliardos having to interfere. Nikos Kioubouroglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Konstantinos Ntaliardos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikos Kioubouroglou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute of the match PANATHINAIKOS got a corner. Team Lucifer's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antonis Kaliakatsos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Antonis Kaliakatsos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Team Lucifer's Konstantinos Ntaliardos did a great save. If Nikos Kioubouroglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Nikos Kioubouroglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Themis Peridis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nikos Kioubouroglou in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Konstantinos Ntaliardos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Iason Giannoglou kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The PANATHINAIKOS fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when PANATHINAIKOS's Nikos Kioubouroglou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Nikos Kioubouroglou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konstantinos Ntaliardos was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. After having played for 61 minutes, Alkis Spiliotis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PANATHINAIKOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alkis Spiliotis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Team Lucifer's Konstantinos Ntaliardos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthimos Bouloubasis in the 63rd minute of play. Themis Peridis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstantinos Ntaliardos having to interfere. After having played for 67 minutes, Nikos Kioubouroglou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PANATHINAIKOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikos Kioubouroglou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eugenios Kalouptsidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alkaios Papantonakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Nikos Kioubouroglou struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Konstantinos Ntaliardos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PANATHINAIKOS. Konstantinos Ntaliardos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themis Peridis in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, PANATHINAIKOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkis Spiliotis to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Team Lucifer's Makis Rokkos tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Anthimos Bouloubasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikos Kioubouroglou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Konstantinos Ntaliardos having to make a save. Alexis Chrisochoidis kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. If Nikos Kioubouroglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PANATHINAIKOS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
