Alexis Papantoniou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tasos Psariadis in the 18th minute. Giannis Kanelidis's late challenge caught a Vrysoúla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giannis Kanelidis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Giannis Kanelidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tasos Psariadis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Vrysoúla's zone, Giannis Kanelidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexis Papantoniou came out of the goal and Giannis Kanelidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vrysoúla's Alexis Papantoniou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tasos Psariadis in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Vrysoúla's goal looked a bit too open when Tasos Psariadis came free, but Alexis Papantoniou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tasos Psariadis in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexis Papantoniou saved Vrysoúla from getting behind. Alexis Papantoniou came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's Marios Grigoriadis. But to his dismay, Marios Grigoriadis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Kostas Vikos kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marinos Katsikogiannis got free with Kostas Vasilopoulos in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Apostolikas Maltezos lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vrysoúla:s goal. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Vrysoúla. Akis Mavromatakis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kostas Vasilopoulos. 2-2. Marinos Katsikogiannis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Kostas Vasilopoulos made a huge save. A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's Tasos Psariadis got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marios Grigoriadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexis Papantoniou having to interfere. When Gerasimos Asimakopoulos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. Gerasimos Asimakopoulos hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Vrysoúla's Alexis Papantoniou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tasos Psariadis in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Vrysoúla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koulis Kontopanos to maneuver through the defense. Minas Serifis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexis Papantoniou having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, Vrysoúla's Christodoulos Ververis made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kostas Vasilopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexis Papantoniou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marios Grigoriadis in the 98th minute of the match.
