If Tasos Psariadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tasos Psariadis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Menios Sagionaridis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nasos Lignos kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demis Drougas in the 12th minute of play forced A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's goalkeeper Kostas Vasilopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tasos Psariadis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Menios Sagionaridis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Megas Alexandros FC's Nasos Lignos got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 21st match minute, A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timos Zacharopoulos to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Tasos Psariadis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giannis Kanelidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Menios Sagionaridis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's Tasos Psariadis made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Menios Sagionaridis was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th minute, Evaggelos Spetzopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tasos Psariadis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Menios Sagionaridis having to interfere. Minas Serifis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Menios Sagionaridis firmly grabbed it by the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Demis Drougas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ booed when Megas Alexandros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prodromos Papamarkos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giannis Kanelidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Timos Zacharopoulos struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Menios Sagionaridis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ. In the 88th minute, Marios Grigoriadis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giannis Kanelidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Menios Sagionaridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ's Tasos Psariadis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Menios Sagionaridis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Giannis Kanelidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A.E.K. ΠΑΤΡΑΣ fully deserved thier win.
