The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 13 minutes into the match, Chrνsova FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Zouganelis came free, but Themistoklis Stabouloglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Themistoklis Stabouloglou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lefkópetra BC. Odysseas Klapaftis charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Odysseas Klapaftis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lefkópetra BC booed when Chrνsova FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Odysseas Klapaftis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evripidis Tsaganos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odysseas Klapaftis in the 37th minute of play. Thanos Voskopoulos struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panos Geronimakis got free with Themistoklis Stabouloglou in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
