Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Omiros Plexidas in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giorgos Karaveris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Miltos Logothetis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Giorgos Karaveris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kallipoli FC's Giorgos Karaveris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikitas Fragou in the 24th minute of play. After 26 played minutes, Pythagoras F.C's Alkinoos Panagiotakis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Giorgos Karaveris came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pythagoras F.C's Alkinoos Panagiotakis got a free kick in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the Kallipoli FC defense, Omiros Plexidas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giorgos Karaveris. The Kallipoli FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giorgos Karaveris should have stopped the shot. The Pythagoras F.C fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Pythagoras F.C's Nikitas Fragou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 46th minute Giorgos Gabriilidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgos Karaveris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The wind increased when Omiros Plexidas made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Kallipoli FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitris Kamarinakis to maneuver through the defense. Giorgos Karaveris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miltos Logothetis in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Pythagoras F.C booed when Kallipoli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthimos Nikolaou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikitas Fragou recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Pythagoras F.C's Miltos Logothetis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giorgos Karaveris. Giorgos Karaveris yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Nikitas Fragou's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Giorgos Karaveris skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 71 minutes Kallipoli FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omiros Plexidas who took care of the corner kick. Omiros Plexidas made a great header on Pythagoras F.C's corner, it was just that Kallipoli FC's Giorgos Karaveris managed to reach the ball for a save. Nikitas Fragou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giorgos Karaveris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Giorgos Karaveris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miltos Logothetis, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Pythagoras F.C's Giorgos Gabriilidis got a free kick in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Pythagoras F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitris Karasavvidis came free, but Petros Polichronidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giorgos Karaveris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltos Logothetis in the 87th minute of the match. Petros Polichronidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefanos Stavratos, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Nikitas Fragou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Giorgos Karaveris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Omiros Plexidas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Giorgos Karaveris. That made the score 3-5 in the 96 minute of play.
