Π.Α.Ο. Μενιδιου's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Tafaf the free kick. After 6 played minutes Π.Α.Ο. Μενιδιου got a freekick which was hit by Panos Varelakis. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Stergios Koutsilas managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Tafaf's supporters rose to their feet, but Stergios Koutsilas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikos Liris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Giorgos Tsanaklidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikos Liris. Π.Α.Ο. Μενιδιου's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giorgos Tsanaklidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some careless play in the Π.Α.Ο. Μενιδιου defense, Stergios Koutsilas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikos Liris. The Π.Α.Ο. Μενιδιου fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikos Liris should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Giorgos Tsanaklidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikos Liris was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Nikos Liris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Tsanaklidis in the 29th minute of play. Clive Seah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nikos Liris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomasz Gongolewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltos Konstantinidis in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, FC Tafaf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thymios Zaranis to maneuver through the defense. Giorgos Kolofotias, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Clive Seah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clive Seah in the 39th minute of play forced Π.Α.Ο. Μενιδιου's goalkeeper Nikos Liris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Konstantinidis in the 46th minute of play forced FC Tafaf's goalkeeper Tomasz Gongolewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Tafaf's Clive Seah got a free kick in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miltos Konstantinidis was the one to do the kick off. Nikos Liris made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Stergios Koutsilas sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akakios Kaminaroglou in the 54th minute of play forced FC Tafaf's goalkeeper Tomasz Gongolewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikos Liris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stergios Koutsilas in the 63rd minute of play. Miltos Konstantinidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikos Liris came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Tafaf's Giorgos Tsanaklidis. But to his dismay, Giorgos Tsanaklidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Stergios Koutsilas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Nikos Liris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Giorgos Tsanaklidis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Nikos Liris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clive Seahs short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Nikos Liris to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. FC Tafaf made a substitution. Menelaos Marketis replaced Stergios Koutsilas. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Tafaf! Thymios Zaranis struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Nikos Liris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Tafaf. FC Tafaf played a much better game than Π.Α.Ο. Μενιδιου and deserved their victory. The Π.Α.Ο. Μενιδιου players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
