Spectators: 5930 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 30) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Theodosis Manolas kicked off to start the match. If Theodosis Manolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alekos Gikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theodosis Manolas, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Soulis Valassiou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kleanthis Moisiadis in the 11th minute. Theodosis Manolas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alekos Gikas having to make a save. Christos Magoulas hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaggelis Bantas in the 18th minute of play forced Φοίνικας's goalkeeper Soulis Valassiou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Soulis Valassiou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vaggelis Bantas in the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Φοίνικας's Soulis Valassiou got control of the ball when Kleanthis Moisiadis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gythelon FC's Emmanouil Kasimidis pulled a muscle in his leg after 25 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Theodosis Manolas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gythelon FC's Alekos Gikas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotiris Petratos in the 30th minute of play. Theodosis Manolas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alekos Gikas having to interfere. Gythelon FC's Kleanthis Moisiadis got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sotiris Petratos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kleanthis Moisiadis to strike the kick off in the second half. Φοίνικας's Vladimiros Paraskevakos got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Kleanthis Moisiadis made a precise shot to the right of Soulis Valassiou. Φοίνικας's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Φοίνικας's attentive Christos Magoulas managed to snatch the ball when Lambros Papaemmanouil made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. After 80 minutes, Lambros Papaemmanouil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gythelon FC and the Φοίνικας players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute, Lambros Papaemmanouil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alekos Gikas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 81st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Christos Magoulas. In the 82nd match minute, Φοίνικας was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Gitas to maneuver through the defense. Vaggelis Bantas kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Φοίνικας players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gythelon FC.
