In the 23rdth minute of the game Nontas Spaneas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Krνni FC's Kostas Pontios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nikiforos Agritis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Nikos Poulopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renos Koubouris kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Krνni FC's zone, Marinos Domazos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Pontios came out of the goal and Marinos Domazos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Nontas Spaneas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kato Zalogko's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nontas Spaneas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giorgos Vranas made a kick off. Giorgos Vranas scored 1-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikos Poulopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 55th minute, Marinos Domazos made a precise shot to the right of Kostas Pontios. Krνni FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Giannis Koukoglou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kato Zalogko's supporters rose to their feet, but Giannis Koukoglou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kostas Pontios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
