Spectators: 7567 (Terracing: 5700, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 120) Agios Ioanis Gigenon's Miltos Ntavelis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miltos Ntavelis took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iosif Kefalogiannis. Iosif Kefalogiannis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Paschalis Labropoulos hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Agios Ioanis Gigenon's Prokopis Mavrogenidis got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 minutes of play, Agios Ioanis Gigenon's Miltos Ntavelis made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iosif Kefalogiannis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Miltos Ntavelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iosif Kefalogiannis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miltos Ntavelis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute, Prokopis Mavrogenidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Agios Ioanis Gigenon's Simos Dermitzakis got a free kick in the 40th minute. Prokopis Katsikas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Dimitris Sapanis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Panathinaikos F.C were awarded a corner in the 51th minute after Agios Ioanis Gigenon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aimilios Sakalis took the corner.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paschalis Labropoulos to make the kick off. Panathinaikos F.C's Iosif Kefalogiannis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miltos Ntavelis in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Ntavelis in the 59th minute of play forced Panathinaikos F.C's goalkeeper Iosif Kefalogiannis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitris Sapanis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panagiotis Petropoulos in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Panathinaikos F.C's Christos Michailidis got a free kick in the 64th minute. A hard shot by Manos Kalogiannis from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Iosif Kefalogiannis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 76 played minutes Panathinaikos F.C got a freekick which was hit by Paschalis Labropoulos. 78 minutes into the match, Agios Ioanis Gigenon's goal looked a bit too open when Paschalis Labropoulos came free, but Dimitris Sapanis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dimitris Sapanis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paschalis Labropoulos in the 83rd minute of play. Miltos Ntavelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute, Miltos Ntavelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
