After having played for 3 minutes, Thalis Siamantouras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C PAOK THESSALONIKI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thalis Siamantouras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, ARIS-KATERINI's goal looked a bit too open when Priidik Lukas came free, but Ilias Venetidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A wasted opportunity for F.C PAOK THESSALONIKI. Ilias Venetidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Priidik Lukas's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. If Priidik Lukas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th match minute, ARIS-KATERINI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akis Lianos to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, ARIS-KATERINI's goal looked a bit too open when Thalis Siamantouras came free, but Ilias Venetidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute Thalis Siamantouras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilias Venetidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The F.C PAOK THESSALONIKI fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when F.C PAOK THESSALONIKI's Thalis Siamantouras looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thalis Siamantouras struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilias Venetidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61stth minute of the game Thalis Siamantouras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ARIS-KATERINI's Ilias Venetidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Genílson Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genílson Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 minutes, Giorgos Nalbantis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ARIS-KATERINI and the F.C PAOK THESSALONIKI players grew even worse after the yellow card.
