Thasas BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andreas Labakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Maggi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Theodosis Papastathopoulos hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 22 minutes of play, Thasas BC's Spyros Sabatakis made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Maggi was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Vrahateika FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Alexis Kontogiannidis hit a great ball. If Jacinto Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute of the match Vassilis Kiskabanis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Maggi skillfully saved the ball. Vassilis Tsantirakis came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Vrahateika FC's Babbis Polymeris. But to his dismay, Babbis Polymeris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexis Kontogiannidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Alexis Kontogiannidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexis Kontogiannidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vrahateika FC's Alex Maggi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spyros Sabatakis in the 79th minute of play. Vassilis Tsantirakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexis Kontogiannidis's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. When Theodosis Papastathopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Vrahateika FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theodosis Papastathopoulos couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Alexis Kontogiannidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vassilis Tsantirakis. Thasas BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexis Kontogiannidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 90 played minutes Vrahateika FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexis Kontogiannidis. Alex Maggi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spyros Sabatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
