In the 16th minute, Babbis Vovos made a precise shot to the right of Timos Kladis. Néa Sánda FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 19 minutes into the game, Dimitris Pirimachos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Pavlos Papoulis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaggelis Labriakos in the 24th minute of play forced Agios Akakios's goalkeeper Pavlos Papoulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Agios Akakios's zone, Dimitris Pirimachos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavlos Papoulis came out of the goal and Dimitris Pirimachos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dimitris Pirimachos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vaggelis Labriakos got free with Pavlos Papoulis in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Agios Akakios's zone, Dimitris Pirimachos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavlos Papoulis came out of the goal and Dimitris Pirimachos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Apostolikas Skaltsas kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Alkis Maltezos charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alkis Maltezos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 38 minutes into the match, Agios Akakios's goal looked a bit too open when Vaggelis Labriakos came free, but Pavlos Papoulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavlos Papoulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaggelis Labriakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Dimitris Pirimachos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavlos Papoulis having to make a save. When Vaggelis Labriakos came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Néa Sánda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vaggelis Labriakos couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After having played for 62 minutes, Vaggelis Labriakos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Néa Sánda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaggelis Labriakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vaios Krikos's late challenge caught a Agios Akakios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vaios Krikos helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Néa Sánda FC got a freekick which was hit by Vaios Krikos. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Néa Sánda FC's goalkeeper Timos Kladis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dimitris Pirimachos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kostas Sapounelis kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Vaggelis Labriakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
