The tension between the Thasas BC and the Gríspiani players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dimitris Kaikas kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spyros Sabatakis in the 23rd minute of play forced Gríspiani's goalkeeper Dionysis Papadopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Spyros Sabatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionysis Papadopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Thasas BC booed when Gríspiani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miltiadis Giannopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stamatis Kirkos struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Vassilis Tsantirakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gríspiani. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giorgos Ntovas got free with Vassilis Tsantirakis in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Spyros Sabatakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Labakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Dionysis Papadopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spyros Sabatakis struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Dionysis Papadopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thasas BC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giorgos Ntovas to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Giorgos Ntovas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gríspiani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giorgos Ntovas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Gríspiani's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Labakis came free, but Dionysis Papadopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gríspiani's Petros Karaliopoulos got a free kick in the 86th minute. Vassilis Tsantirakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giorgos Ntovas, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 95th minute Andreas Labakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionysis Papadopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spyros Sabatakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionysis Papadopoulos having to interfere. The Gríspiani supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Thasas BC's performance. The match ended with a win for Thasas BC.
