Makis Zachopoulos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konstantinos Michelakis's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Agendra Khanna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efthimis Koubilias, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Andreas Sitaropoulos hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Makis Zachopoulos was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Vassilis Tsouchtras capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konstantinos Michelakis in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Makis Zachopoulos saved Indepented Cyprus United from getting behind. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Indepented Cyprus United's goalkeeper Makis Zachopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Konstantinos Michelakis was the one to do the kick off. Wei Chao Bin kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Indepented Cyprus United's goal looked a bit too open when Argyris Kalekas came free, but Makis Zachopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Yiαli were the better team. Yiαli's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
