Dionysis Georgiadis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Manos Marketis fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Khorιvtra's protests and gave Manos Marketis a yellow card for diving instead. Dionysis Georgiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christos Egomitis in the 16th minute of play. The Khorιvtra fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Khorιvtra's Grigoris Semertzidis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Babbis Fotiadis hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grigoris Semertzidis in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaggelos Paleologos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grigoris Semertzidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaggelos Paleologos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grigoris Semertzidis ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Efthimis Karteris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limnσtopos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Efthimis Karteris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dionysis Georgiadis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Giotis Tsiantakis hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Eutichios Blatsiotis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eutichios Blatsiotis in the 43rd minute of play forced Limnσtopos FC's goalkeeper Evaggelos Paleologos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigoris Semertzidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaggelos Paleologos having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Eutichios Blatsiotis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evaggelos Paleologos was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christos Egomitis in the 96th minute of play forced Khorιvtra's goalkeeper Dionysis Georgiadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
