Manos Marketis's late challenge caught a Zálongon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manos Marketis helped the player get up and apologised. Zálongon's Alekos Vallas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigoris Semertzidis in the 15th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Zálongon got a freekick which was hit by Argyris Borelis. Khorιvtra's Leonidas Taktikos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Alekos Vallas but with some difficulty. 32 minutes into the match, Eutichios Blatsiotis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Zálongon's Alekos Vallas. Alekos Vallas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leonidas Taktikos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Grigoris Semertzidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zinon Pachidis struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Dionysis Georgiadis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zálongon. Eutichios Blatsiotis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Alekos Vallas made a huge save. Alekos Vallas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigoris Semertzidis in the 46th minute of play. Zálongon's Alekos Vallas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Zálongon from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zinon Pachidis to strike the kick off in the second half. Eutichios Blatsiotis struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Argyris Borelis couldn't finish the play. After having played for 81 minutes, Grigoris Semertzidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khorιvtra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Grigoris Semertzidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Stavros Kopanaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Argyris Borelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Argyris Borelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zálongon's supporters rose to their feet, but Argyris Borelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dionysis Georgiadis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonis Kretsos during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antonis Kretsos hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Argyris Borelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zinon Pachidis kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eutichios Blatsiotis in the 100th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alekos Vallas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Khorιvtra were victorious despite being under pressure from Zálongon for much of the match.
