The supporters of Pao FC booed when Melidron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandros Asimakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Melidron's Giannis Athanasiadis got control of the ball when Stathis Papanastasiou tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute Melidron were awarded a corner. Panagiotis Paltakis went to the cornerflag to take it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pao FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! 20 minutes into the match, Pao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stratos Tobouloglou came free, but Pantelis Zigourakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Themistoklis Piatas scored 1-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giannis Athanasiadis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Themistoklis Piatas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giannis Athanasiadis was a little too slow when Stathis Papanastasiou got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. With a little luck, Melidron's Giannis Athanasiadis got control of the ball when Themistoklis Piatas tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Stathis Papanastasiou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Themistoklis Piatass short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Giannis Athanasiadis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Melidron's Panagiotis Paltakis got a free kick in the 39th minute. Melidron's Giannis Athanasiadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stathis Papanastasiou in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Stathis Papanastasiou reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Giannis Athanasiadis. The goal made the score 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stathis Papanastasiou to make the kick off. Pao FC's Themistoklis Piatas got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iosif Loukidis's late challenge caught a Pao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iosif Loukidis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Melidron getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Iosif Loukidis hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Stathis Papanastasiou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giannis Athanasiadis. Melidron's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stathis Papanastasiou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Giannis Athanasiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themistoklis Piatas in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Melidron's goal looked a bit too open when Stathis Papanastasiou came free, but Giannis Athanasiadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Themistoklis Piatas scored 7-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giannis Athanasiadis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giannis Athanasiadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stathis Papanastasiou in the 90th minute of play. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Themistoklis Piatas sped through Melidron's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Giannis Athanasiadis. Stratos Tobouloglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pantelis Zigourakis having to interfere. Pao FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
