With an extended leg and a bit of luck Panos Perpelidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nontas Anagnostakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerasimos Kalikis in the 16th minute of the match. Giannis Boulgouras charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giannis Boulgouras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Vazeleiakos's zone, Iason Nikolopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panos Perpelidis came out of the goal and Iason Nikolopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Vazeleiakos's goal looked a bit too open when Vassilis Trechalidis came free, but Panos Perpelidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Iason Nikolopoulos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Panos Perpelidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vassilis Trechalidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antonis Keramidas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Panos Perpelidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vazeleiakos's zone, Vassilis Trechalidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panos Perpelidis came out of the goal and Vassilis Trechalidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vassilis Trechalidis was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot by Chatziioannou Stathoulis from long distance, 51 minutes into the match, got Nontas Anagnostakis's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Silver City's Vassilis Trechalidis in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nontas Anagnostakis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kostas Martis. After some careless play in the Vazeleiakos defense, Vassilis Trechalidis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Panos Perpelidis. The Vazeleiakos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Panos Perpelidis should have stopped the shot. In the 75th match minute, Silver City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fokas Koskinas to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes, Vazeleiakos's Chatziioannou Stathoulis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nontas Anagnostakis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vazeleiakos reached it. Nontas Anagnostakis was out of position in the 81 minute of play, and Christos Stavroulis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christos Stavroulis really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Vassilis Trechalidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Vassilis Trechalidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Panos Perpelidis was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
