The referee ignored Khalazσnion's protests and gave Alexis Adamatos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, one of Khalazσnion:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Khalazσnion. Paris Marinos shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 28th minute Theofanis Paraschakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bican Mert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Petros Myroforidis managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Asteras Fc's Spyros Xilas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Paris Marinos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Asteras Fc's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
