Asteras Fc's Paris Marinos got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Asteras Fc's Spyros Xilas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kostas Sotiropoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Daniil Neophytou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fanis Zanteroglou during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Asteras Fc's Paris Marinos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 22nd minute free were awarded a corner. Thodoris Liolidis went to the cornerflag to take it. Aris Tsartsikidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Bican Mert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Asteras Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Stergios Pantoflaras came free, but Bican Mert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nikiforos Veniamin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Spyros Xilas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Kostas Sotiropoulos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Spyros Xilas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Kostas Sotiropoulos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of free booed when Asteras Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fanis Zanteroglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asteras Fc's Bican Mert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stergios Pantoflaras in the 42nd minute of play. Spyros Xilas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kostas Sotiropoulos firmly grabbed it by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paris Marinos made a kick off. After some careless play in the free defense, Spyros Xilas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kostas Sotiropoulos. The free fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostas Sotiropoulos should have stopped the shot. When Nikiforos Veniamin came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the free fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikiforos Veniamin couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in free's zone, Spyros Xilas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Sotiropoulos came out of the goal and Spyros Xilas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kostas Sotiropoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paris Marinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Spyros Xilas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kostas Sotiropoulos. free's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Spyros Xilas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Kostas Sotiropoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paris Marinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paris Marinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Kostas Sotiropoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikiforos Veniamin kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Spyros Xilas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Notis Giannou hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. free's Kostas Sotiropoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spyros Xilas in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 82 minutes, Paris Marinos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asteras Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paris Marinos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Aris Tsartsikidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the game, Asteras Fc's Paris Marinos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kostas Sotiropoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 91st minute Spyros Xilas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Sotiropoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Spyros Xilas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but free's Kostas Sotiropoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Asteras Fc walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
