Nea Moudania's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fotis Roubos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Fotis Roubos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Errikos Liakopoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sakis Gougoulakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giannis Ikonomou in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorotheos Kalabokis in the 20th minute of play forced Nea Moudania's goalkeeper Errikos Liakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute of the match Grimbilianα BC got a corner. Nea Moudania's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nikos Goumas ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Malezas in the 25th minute of play forced Nea Moudania's goalkeeper Errikos Liakopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grimbilianα BC's Sakis Gougoulakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christodoulos Akrivoulis in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Grimbilianα BC's Marios Saleas got a free kick in the 27th minute. Errikos Liakopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikos Malezas in the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Fotis Roubos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grimbilianα BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fotis Roubos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Errikos Liakopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, Vaggelis Sfiggas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The wind increased when Giannis Ikonomou made the kick off in the second half. Vaggelis Sfiggas ran back to his position shaking his head. Sakis Gougoulakis was a little too slow when Giannis Ikonomou got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 2-1. Vaggelis Sfiggas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Errikos Liakopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grimbilianα BC. 91 minutes into the match, Grimbilianα BC's Fotis Roubos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Errikos Liakopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Nea Moudania defense, Fotis Roubos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Errikos Liakopoulos. The Nea Moudania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Errikos Liakopoulos should have stopped the shot. Nea Moudania's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
