The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thrasivoulos Kabolis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akis Paragas having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Pieria F.C.'s goalkeeper Akis Paragas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stathis Amanatidis. Stathis Amanatidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akis Paragas having to interfere. Thrasivoulos Kabolis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akis Paragas having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Stathis Amanatidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Néa Málgara's supporters rose to their feet, but Stathis Amanatidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akis Paragas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stathis Amanatidis in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Akis Paragas saved Pieria F.C. from getting behind. Stathis Amanatidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Akis Paragas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Thrasivoulos Kabolis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Akis Paragas was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 35th minute Stathis Amanatidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akis Paragas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pieria F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Kyriakos Zablakos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Soulis Savourogiannis in the 44th minute of play forced Néa Málgara's goalkeeper Alkinoos Theodorakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simos Kousis was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Pieria F.C. getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Kyriakos Zablakos hit a great ball. Alkinoos Theodorakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simos Kousis in the 64th minute of the match. Akis Paragas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thrasivoulos Kabolis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Stathis Amanatidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Akis Paragas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 72 minutes into the match, Pieria F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Stathis Amanatidis came free, but Akis Paragas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Pieria F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menelaos Servetas to maneuver through the defense. Stathis Amanatidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thrasivoulos Kabolis in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akis Paragas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vassilis Katis's late challenge caught a Néa Málgara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vassilis Katis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pieria F.C.'s Vassilis Katis got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 82nd match minute, Pieria F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavlos Masaboukas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Pieria F.C.'s zone, Thrasivoulos Kabolis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akis Paragas came out of the goal and Thrasivoulos Kabolis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Akis Paragas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thrasivoulos Kabolis in the 90th minute of the match. Akis Paragas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thrasivoulos Kabolis in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Pieria F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Stathis Amanatidis came free, but Akis Paragas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thrasivoulos Kabolis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Néa Málgara fully deserved thier win.
