Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fanis Kanetis started the match with the kick off. Nikos Tsorlinis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artemis's Makis Kyriazis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonis Chasiotis in the 16th minute of play. Konstantinos Kastanis's late challenge caught a Spitαli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konstantinos Kastanis helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Artemis got a freekick which was hit by Konstantinos Kastanis. Ignatios Anastasiou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ignatios Anastasiou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stelios Peppes having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Artemis's zone, Antonis Chasiotis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Makis Kyriazis came out of the goal and Antonis Chasiotis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute Antonis Chasiotis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Makis Kyriazis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikos Tsorlinis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Artemis defense, Nikos Tsorlinis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Makis Kyriazis. The Artemis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Makis Kyriazis should have stopped the shot. If Nikos Tsorlinis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonis Chasiotis to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Artemis's goal looked a bit too open when Antonis Chasiotis came free, but Makis Kyriazis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Leonidas Sklavos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Artemis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spitαli the free kick. After 56 played minutes Artemis got a freekick which was hit by Leonidas Sklavos. After a rather tough play, Spitαli's Thomas Karabatsos got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ignatios Anastasiou who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Stelios Peppes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Artemis's Ignatios Anastasiou got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fanis Kanetis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stelios Peppes came out and tried to block the shot, but Fanis Kanetis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 64th minute. After 67 played minutes Spitαli got a freekick which was hit by Stavros Katopodis. Konstantinos Kastanis kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When Antonis Chasiotis came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Spitαli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonis Chasiotis couldn't finish the play. Stergios Kalfas kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Nikos Tsorlinis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Makis Kyriazis was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Makis Kyriazis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonis Chasiotis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikos Tsorlinis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Makis Kyriazis having to interfere. Makis Kyriazis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonis Chasiotis in the 98th minute of play.
