Themis Abaris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alketas Prezerakos in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alketas Prezerakos in the 14th minute of play forced Melissouryoi BC's goalkeeper Themis Abaris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Eustratios Kappos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 28 minutes, Alketas Prezerakos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mastrogiαnnion BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alketas Prezerakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Alketas Prezerakos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Themis Abaris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alketas Prezerakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Themis Abaris having to interfere. Themis Abaris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alketas Prezerakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diogenis Kourbanas made a kick off. Vassilis Pirovolakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Themis Abaris having to make a save. Iosif Sepsas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lakis Bousoulas having to interfere. If Iosif Sepsas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogenis Kourbanas in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lakis Bousoulas saved Mastrogiαnnion BC from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Vassilis Pirovolakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Diogenis Kourbanas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melissouryoi BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diogenis Kourbanas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lakis Bousoulas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Melissouryoi BC booed when Mastrogiαnnion BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantinos Stamatiou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogenis Kourbanas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lakis Bousoulas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mastrogiαnnion BC's Lakis Bousoulas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diogenis Kourbanas in the 68th minute of play. Alketas Prezerakos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Themis Abaris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alketas Prezerakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 79th match minute, Mastrogiαnnion BC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valerios Kastanis to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Mastrogiαnnion BC got a freekick which was hit by Valerios Kastanis. In the 82nd minute, Paris Okkas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Themis Abaris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alketas Prezerakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Iosif Sepsas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lakis Bousoulas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Mastrogiαnnion BC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
