In the 11th minute of the match Dimitris Skatzos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Charalambos Meletis skillfully saved the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Ayios Nikólaos's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitris Giannakakis came free, but Charalambos Meletis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dionysis Tsoukalas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilias Zervakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Giannakakis in the 20th minute of play forced Ayios Nikólaos's goalkeeper Charalambos Meletis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charalambos Meletis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dimitris Giannakakis's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Dimitris Giannakakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titanas Karpathou's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimitris Giannakakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Ayios Nikólaos's Timos Tsabikos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dionysis Tsoukalas. Dionysis Tsoukalas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Ayios Nikólaos booed when Titanas Karpathou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitris Karataidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Antonis Skoulikas put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ayios Nikólaos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Iosif Paspalidis walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Charalambos Meletis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Giannakakis in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute, Timos Tsabikos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dionysis Tsoukalas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Tasos Stavrakopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tasos Stavrakopoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Titanas Karpathou fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! The audience thought a goal was coming when Dimitris Giannakakis got free with Charalambos Meletis in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Eleftherios Brinis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Ayios Nikólaos's Charalambos Meletis got control of the ball when Dimitris Giannakakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Ayios Nikólaos's goalkeeper Charalambos Meletis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimitris Giannakakis. Charalambos Meletis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Titanas Karpathou's Giorgos Kamilas shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Dimitris Giannakakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giorgos Kamilas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charalambos Meletis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
