Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vaggelis Botsis took the kick off in the first half of the match. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Christoforos Savakis put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Panos Saitiotis. Anthimos Vamvoukas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Fivos Drougas made a huge save. After 20 played minutes OldCastle got a freekick which was hit by Argyris Kalivatsis. Lambis Tzoumaris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fivos Drougas having to interfere. Lambis Tzoumaris could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Fivos Drougas made a huge save. Panos Saitiotis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ntinos Xanthoulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zinon Terzis in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Panos Saitiotis saved Sermenνkon from getting behind. Vaggelis Botsis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fivos Drougas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ntinos Xanthoulis in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Panos Saitiotis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christoforos Savakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Panos Saitiotis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half OldCastle were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
51 minutes into the match, OldCastle's Takis Kokkinos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Panos Saitiotis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Sermenνkon getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Veniamin Barberis hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, OldCastle's Kostas Topoudis got a free kick in the 59th minute. Zinon Terzis in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Panos Saitiotis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fivos Drougas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaggelis Botsis, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 69 played minutes Sermenνkon got a freekick which was hit by Lambis Tzoumaris. Ntinos Xanthoulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Panos Saitiotis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Zinon Terzis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, OldCastle's Panos Saitiotis threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zinon Terzis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Iraklis Karezis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fivos Drougas. OldCastle's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 94th minute Lambis Tzoumaris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fivos Drougas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The OldCastle supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing OldCastle would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
