Kyriakos Tserkesidis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Theocharis Kastanakos. 19 minutes into the match, Εθνικος FC's Panos Kousouridis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kyriakos Tserkesidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gerasimos Partalis might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilias Kokolakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerasimos Partalis ran back to his position shaking his head. Vathikhσri FC's Gerasimos Partalis managed to work through Εθνικος FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Gerasimos Partalis dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ilias Kokolakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerasimos Partalis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
