Charis Panagiotopoulos might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilias Kokolakis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charis Panagiotopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. When Loukas Dermitzoglou came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Olympiada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loukas Dermitzoglou couldn't finish the play. Charis Panagiotopoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilias Kokolakis having to make a save. When Chatziantoniou Xenidis fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Εθνικος FC's protests and gave Chatziantoniou Xenidis a yellow card for diving instead. After 10 played minutes Εθνικος FC got a freekick which was hit by Chatziantoniou Xenidis. 12 minutes into the game, Charis Panagiotopoulos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ilias Kokolakis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Loukas Dermitzoglou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilias Kokolakis was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Ilias Kokolakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukas Dermitzoglou in the 17th minute of the match. Konstantinos Mastrokostas lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Εθνικος FC! The referee gave Olympiada a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Grigoris Kipouros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Εθνικος FC's Ilias Kokolakis. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loukas Dermitzoglou in the 30th minute of play forced Εθνικος FC's goalkeeper Ilias Kokolakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Olympiada's Charis Panagiotopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilias Kokolakis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Εθνικος FC's Ilias Kokolakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loukas Dermitzoglou in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Charis Panagiotopoulos made a precise shot to the right of Ilias Kokolakis. Εθνικος FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Loukas Dermitzoglou struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Ilias Kokolakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympiada. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charis Panagiotopoulos in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilias Kokolakis saved Εθνικος FC from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charis Panagiotopoulos to strike the kick off in the second half. Εθνικος FC's Ilias Kokolakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Εθνικος FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Charis Panagiotopoulos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilias Kokolakis. That made the score 0-5 in the 57 minute of play. Loukas Dermitzoglou took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilias Kokolakis. Ilias Kokolakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Loukas Dermitzoglou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilias Kokolakis having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Loukas Dermitzoglou notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Εθνικος FC's Ilias Kokolakis. Ilias Kokolakis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ilias Kokolakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loukas Dermitzoglou's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. A collision led to Εθνικος FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Akis Mavilis hit a great ball. With a little luck, Εθνικος FC's Ilias Kokolakis got control of the ball when Loukas Dermitzoglou tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ilias Kokolakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charis Panagiotopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilias Kokolakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charis Panagiotopoulos in the 86th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Εθνικος FC got a freekick which was hit by Akis Mavilis. Loukas Dermitzoglou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ilias Kokolakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olympiada's Charis Panagiotopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Εθνικος FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Olympiada were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
