After 12 minutes of play, Athνna's Vassilis Tzikas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Panagiotis Paridis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, Athνna's Kleanthis Chatziiakovou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Panagiotis Paridis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute Vassilis Tzikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panagiotis Paridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
