Sougia FC's Sotiris Karamaounas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iason Ochtaras in the 10th minute of play. Ηλυσιακός ΑΟ's Iason Ochtaras got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sakis Stavrinos kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Ηλυσιακός ΑΟ's goal looked a bit too open when Apostolis Psariadis came free, but Panos Mitakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sotiris Karamaounas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giannis Babasakos's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. If Iason Ochtaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thodoris Fragos to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Iason Ochtaras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Sotiris Karamaounas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anastasios Nasiakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sotiris Karamaounas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sotiris Karamaounas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iason Ochtaras went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Iason Ochtaras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sotiris Karamaounas was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Loukas Siradakis charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loukas Siradakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Panos Vlachoudis's late challenge caught a Sougia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Panos Mitakos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Anestis Markakis. In the 70th minute, Giannis Babasakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sotiris Karamaounas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pantelis Pagouras in the 72nd minute of play. After 77 minutes, Pantelis Pagouras made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Sougia FC's Sotiris Karamaounas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute Iason Ochtaras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sotiris Karamaounas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Sougia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iason Ochtaras came free, but Sotiris Karamaounas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sotiris Karamaounas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Babasakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pantelis Pagouras in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sotiris Karamaounas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Iason Ochtaras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ηλυσιακός ΑΟ's supporters rose to their feet, but Iason Ochtaras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sotiris Karamaounas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sotiris Karamaounas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iason Ochtaras's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Ηλυσιακός ΑΟ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
