After a rather tough play, Shamrock Glory's Giorgos Krevetzakis got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Panos Mitakos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Chrisostomos Seletopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iason Ochtaras, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giannis Babasakos during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Ηλυσιακός ΑΟ got a freekick which was hit by Giannis Babasakos. Stelios Savvakis's late challenge caught a Ηλυσιακός ΑΟ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anastasios Nasiakos might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chrisostomos Seletopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anastasios Nasiakos ran back to his position shaking his head. If Kostas Polymeris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Shamrock Glory's zone, Pantelis Pagouras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chrisostomos Seletopoulos came out of the goal and Pantelis Pagouras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ηλυσιακός ΑΟ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
