In the 7th minute Vlassis Tzanetakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Babbis Roubakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Pythagoras.F.C. getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Michalis Tsaris hit a great ball. Kostas Santorineos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Loukianos Michelakis made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Verdhikoϊsa FC's Giannis Tsirikolias got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Telis Stamatelatos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verdhikoϊsa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pythagoras.F.C. the free kick. The referee gave Pythagoras.F.C. a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dimos Kokotoulis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Verdhikoϊsa FC's Loukianos Michelakis. 1-0. Pythagoras.F.C.'s Babbis Roubakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Tsirikolias in the 31st minute of play. Michalis Tsaris scored 2-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Loukianos Michelakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nektarios Tzanetos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tasos Livaditis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nektarios Tzanetos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loukianos Michelakis having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Verdhikoϊsa FC's zone, Alexis Giannopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loukianos Michelakis came out of the goal and Alexis Giannopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 60 played minutes Pythagoras.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Paris Konstantatos. Aggelos Torosidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Babbis Roubakis having to interfere. Verdhikoϊsa FC's Loukianos Michelakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michalis Tsaris in the 63rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Verdhikoϊsa FC's zone, Michalis Tsaris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loukianos Michelakis came out of the goal and Michalis Tsaris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Alexis Giannopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pythagoras.F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexis Giannopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Paris Konstantatos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pythagoras.F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Paris Konstantatos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loukianos Michelakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Savas Kapetanakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Michalis Tsaris had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Loukianos Michelakis. Verdhikoϊsa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michalis Tsaris was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Babbis Roubakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telis Stamatelatos in the 83rd minute of the match. Nektarios Tzanetos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Loukianos Michelakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loukianos Michelakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nektarios Tzanetos in the 91st minute of play. Nektarios Tzanetos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pythagoras.F.C.'s Nektarios Tzanetos in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Verdhikoϊsa FC's goalie prevented a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pythagoras.F.C. fully deserved thier win.
