Plakoti's supporters rose to their feet, but Sotiris Troupkos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alkinoos Matalas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 21 minutes on the clock, Nikos Kakaronis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for Plakoti. Ignatios Kapsis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alkinoos Matalas. 3-0. In the 28thth minute of the game Sotiris Troupkos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astropeleki FC's Alkinoos Matalas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute, Markos Loulakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alkinoos Matalas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sotiris Troupkos's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Veniamin Saroglou to make the kick off. When Stratos Mamakos came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Plakoti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stratos Mamakos couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute Sotiris Troupkos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkinoos Matalas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Dimitris Argyropoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Plakoti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astropeleki FC the free kick. Dimitris Argyropoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Theagenis Tsoros hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sotiris Troupkos in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alkinoos Matalas saved Astropeleki FC from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the Plakoti players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
