Astropeleki FC's Alkinoos Matalas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaston Hibai in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Themos Zacharopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gaston Hibai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 19 minutes, Gaston Hibai made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Astropeleki FC's Alkinoos Matalas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gaston Hibai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sigurjón Geraldsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Sigurjón Geraldsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaston Hibai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alkinoos Matalas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giorgos Giakoumis to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Astropeleki FC's goalkeeper Alkinoos Matalas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Hibai. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
