In the 2nd minute, Fondas Loukas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stelios Marakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fotis Katsiougiannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loukas Papakrivas in the 12th minute of play forced Dimári's goalkeeper Stelios Marakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Stefanos Papantoniou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stelios Marakis was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. If Fotis Katsiougiannis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Alexandros Konstantinoulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theagenis Livathinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefanos Papantoniou struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Stelios Marakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Markou. The supporters of Markou booed when Dimári was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stratos Labrou didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Markou's Stefanos Papantoniou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stelios Marakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Theagenis Livathinos notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Markou's Alexandros Konstantinoulis. Alexandros Konstantinoulis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, Dimári's Theagenis Livathinos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandros Konstantinoulis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dimári's Stelios Marakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Dimári from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Dimári's zone, Fotis Katsiougiannis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stelios Marakis came out of the goal and Fotis Katsiougiannis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Fotis Katsiougiannis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stelios Marakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Markou walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
