Spectators: 5020 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 20) Liverpool's Panagiotis Dokos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, PANATHINAIKOS FC's goalkeeper Evaggelos Anthimidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilias Samarakis. When Eleftherios Neopidis came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the PANATHINAIKOS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleftherios Neopidis couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Alexandros Karadimos got a free kick in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Liverpool's goal looked a bit too open when Eleftherios Neopidis came free, but Orestis Koufaliotis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Menios Georgiou notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Liverpool's Orestis Koufaliotis. Orestis Koufaliotis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Menios Georgiou in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orestis Koufaliotis saved Liverpool from getting behind. In the 25th match minute, Liverpool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stavros Preftokis to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Menios Georgiou in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orestis Koufaliotis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 29 minutes of play, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Eleftherios Neopidis made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orestis Koufaliotis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Menios Georgiou took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orestis Koufaliotis. Orestis Koufaliotis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After some careless play in the Liverpool defense, Menios Georgiou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orestis Koufaliotis. The Liverpool fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orestis Koufaliotis should have stopped the shot. Orestis Koufaliotis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Menios Georgiou's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. A collision led to Liverpool getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Petros Chasiotis hit a great ball. Orestis Koufaliotis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Menios Georgiou, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Menios Georgiou to make the kick off. Menios Georgiou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 53 minutes, Menios Georgiou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PANATHINAIKOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Menios Georgiou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Orestis Koufaliotis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when PANATHINAIKOS FC's Menios Georgiou shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-5 in the ordered_time% minute. PANATHINAIKOS FC's Menios Georgiou was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 59th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Menios Georgiou in the 63rd minute of play forced Liverpool's goalkeeper Orestis Koufaliotis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilias Batakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orestis Koufaliotis having to interfere. Ilias Batakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Ilias Batakos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PANATHINAIKOS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liverpool the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Ilias Batakos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Menios Georgiou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. PANATHINAIKOS FC's Menios Georgiou got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. PANATHINAIKOS FC made a substitution. Thanos Kameris replaced Sancho Miñon. If Thanos Kameris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Menios Georgiou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orestis Koufaliotis having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Menios Georgiou in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orestis Koufaliotis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 89 in the game by Menios Georgiou from a close distance when the talented Orestis Koufaliotis managed to make a qualified save. Liverpool's players were relieved. PANATHINAIKOS FC's Eleftherios Neopidis got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugenios Mouzakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 played minutes PANATHINAIKOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Thanos Kameris. Ilias Samarakis struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Evaggelos Anthimidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool.
