In the 6th minute, Minas Karagiannidis made a precise shot to the right of Sotos Anastopoulos. Chanσpoulon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ntinos Basinas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omiros Moscholidis in the 9th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Katavia BC's Minas Karagiannidis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sotos Anastopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ntinos Basinas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omiros Moscholidis in the 18th minute of play. Minas Karagiannidis struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Sotos Anastopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Katavia BC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alkaios Karathanos in the 21st minute of play forced Katavia BC's goalkeeper Ntinos Basinas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Alkaios Karathanos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ntinos Basinas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Katavia BC defense, Trifon Roubanis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ntinos Basinas. The Katavia BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ntinos Basinas should have stopped the shot. Omiros Moscholidis took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ntinos Basinas. Ntinos Basinas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Ntinos Basinas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trifon Roubanis in the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Chanσpoulon getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Trifon Roubanis hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Trifon Roubanis to strike the kick off in the second half. Chanσpoulon's Koulis Chatzas suffered a sore thigh after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Chanσpoulon booed when Katavia BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vaggelis Kerkopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ntinos Basinas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nontas Bantras. After 56 minutes, Theocharis Peponis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Katavia BC and the Chanσpoulon players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Minas Karagiannidis in the 59th minute of play forced Chanσpoulon's goalkeeper Sotos Anastopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ntinos Basinas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omiros Moscholidis in the 64th minute. If Alkaios Karathanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes Katavia BC got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Mathiopoulos. Ntinos Basinas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nontas Bantras. After 77 played minutes Katavia BC got a freekick which was hit by Theocharis Peponis. Tasos Trochanas kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omiros Moscholidis got free with Ntinos Basinas in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theofilos Meserdis in the 86th minute of play forced Chanσpoulon's goalkeeper Sotos Anastopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ntinos Basinas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omiros Moscholidis in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Omiros Moscholidis fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ntinos Basinas, passed just outside the right post. Chanσpoulon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
