Kostas Stefanou was a little too slow when Marios Kalaitzis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 2-0. Kostas Stefanou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marios Kalaitzis in the 10th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Simaras FC's corner Panagiotis Alexidis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kostas Stefanou quite easily take care of the ball. In the 13th match minute, Simaras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tasos Papantonakis to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Simaras FC's goalkeeper Nikolas Mendrinos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Marios Kalaitzis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostas Stefanou was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Dimitris Kounelakis kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Ermis Kalomantis struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Vatatádes FC's Kostas Stefanou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Vatatádes FC from getting a goal against them. Ermis Kalomantis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Kostas Stefanou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Simaras FC's Alkinoos Stratos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kostas Stefanou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vatatádes FC's zone, Marios Kalaitzis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Stefanou came out of the goal and Marios Kalaitzis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
If Marios Kalaitzis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Petros Martinakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikolas Mendrinos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nikos Bogias. In the 57th minute Ermis Kalomantis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Stefanou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Vatatádes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nikos Bogias to maneuver through the defense. Simaras FC's Panagiotis Alexidis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vatatádes FC. A collision led to Simaras FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Panagiotis Alexidis hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Kostas Kanelakis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nikolas Mendrinos, 2-1. Kostas Stefanou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakis Kostoulis in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vatatádes FC's zone, Marios Kalaitzis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Stefanou came out of the goal and Marios Kalaitzis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Vatatádes FC's Kostas Kanelakis got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Marios Kalaitzis came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Simaras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marios Kalaitzis couldn't finish the play. When Simaras FC's Marios Kalaitzis in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vatatádes FC's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marios Kalaitzis in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kostas Stefanou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Alekos Gogolos came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Simaras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alekos Gogolos couldn't finish the play. In the 88thth minute of the game Marios Kalaitzis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vatatádes FC's Kostas Stefanou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Anastasios Providas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nikolas Mendrinos, 2-2. Marios Kalaitzis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Kostas Stefanou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Simaras FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
