The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Petros Kakouris hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 5 played minutes, Greveníta's Eutichios Rafailidis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Odysseas Tsiopas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Greveníta reached it. Anestis Maloumidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iordanis Kostakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Akis Lazariou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anestis Maloumidis having to interfere. If Iordanis Kostakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Iordanis Kostakos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manoliσpoulon's supporters rose to their feet, but Iordanis Kostakos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anestis Maloumidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonidas Apostolakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Odysseas Tsiopas having to make a save. Anestis Maloumidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Akis Lazariou in the 38th minute. Paris Melopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Spyros Kyzeridis's late challenge caught a Greveníta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Spyros Kyzeridis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Manoliσpoulon getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Spyros Kyzeridis hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iordanis Kostakos was the one to do the kick off. Anestis Maloumidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iordanis Kostakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Akis Lazariou struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Anestis Maloumidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manoliσpoulon. 57 minutes into the match, Greveníta's goal looked a bit too open when Iordanis Kostakos came free, but Anestis Maloumidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Greveníta defense, Iordanis Kostakos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anestis Maloumidis. The Greveníta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anestis Maloumidis should have stopped the shot. Akis Lazariou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Anestis Maloumidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iordanis Kostakos might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anestis Maloumidis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iordanis Kostakos ran back to his position shaking his head. Anestis Maloumidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Akis Lazariou went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 75thth minute of the game Akis Lazariou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Greveníta's Anestis Maloumidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Konstantinos Kontaxis kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Iordanis Kostakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Anestis Maloumidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anestis Maloumidis came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Manoliσpoulon's Iordanis Kostakos. But to his dismay, Iordanis Kostakos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 92 minutes into the match, Greveníta's goal looked a bit too open when Akis Lazariou came free, but Anestis Maloumidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
