In the 31st minute, Theofilos Kostakos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aris Thessaloniki fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Eutichios Tripodakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theofilos Kostakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Aris Thessaloniki's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Spyros Kanelidis in the 69th minute. A well done corner resulted in Theofilos Kostakos drilling the ball in to score 2-3 behind Faneroméni's goalkeeper. In the 75th minute Minas Bougatsas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaggelos Skentzos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Giorgos Papakrivos fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aris Thessaloniki's protests and gave Giorgos Papakrivos a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Aris Thessaloniki:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Faneroméni:s goal. Eutichios Tripodakis came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Aris Thessaloniki's Vaggelis Ivanidis. In the 94th minute Loukas Koublis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaggelos Skentzos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaggelos Skentzos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loukas Koublis in the 95th minute of play. Faneroméni's Minas Bougatsas got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
