Spectators: 7552 (Terracing: 5776, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 5) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lakis Diamantopoulos started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theagenis Grifisas during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Theagenis Grifisas hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Anastasios Velakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zisis Babasidis in the 10th minute of play. Anastasios Velakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lakis Diamantopoulos in the 12th minute of the match. Theagenis Grifisas scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anastasios Velakos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anastasios Velakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theagenis Grifisas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Theagenis Grifisas took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasios Velakos. Anastasios Velakos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Anastasios Velakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zisis Babasidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nontas Tsouloufidis in the 32nd minute of play forced President's goalkeeper Anastasios Velakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anastasios Velakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zisis Babasidis in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, NIKH 1924's Zisis Babasidis made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anastasios Velakos was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Thrasivoulos Koulouris got free with Leonidas Boniatis in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. President's Anastasios Velakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zisis Babasidis in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of NIKH 1924 booed when President was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasios Balafoutis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilias Kakouras took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anastasios Velakos. President's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, President was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marios Papadamous to maneuver through the defense. Anastasios Velakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nontas Tsouloufidis in the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Lakis Diamantopoulos made a precise shot to the right of Anastasios Velakos. President's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thrasivoulos Koulouris made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Thrasivoulos Koulouris managed to get in a good position for a shot. President's supporters rose to their feet, but Thrasivoulos Koulouris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonidas Boniatis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, President's Marios Papadamous seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marios Papadamous the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of President protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marios Papadamous had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for President! In the 66th minute, Theagenis Grifisas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thrasivoulos Koulouris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonidas Boniatis having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Theagenis Grifisas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasios Velakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastasios Velakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zisis Babasidis in the 74th minute of the match. If Thrasivoulos Koulouris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thrasivoulos Koulouris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonidas Boniatis having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, President's Thrasivoulos Koulouris made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonidas Boniatis was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Thrasivoulos Koulouris came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the President fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thrasivoulos Koulouris couldn't finish the play. The NIKH 1924 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NIKH 1924 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
