Stergios Topalidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stelios Skapaneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonidas Boniatis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonis Velakos in the 27th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Lakis Diamantopoulos notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of City fc's Stergios Topalidis. Stergios Topalidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. NIKH 1924's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lakis Diamantopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stelios Skapaneas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to NIKH 1924 getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Fotis Digozis hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Lakis Diamantopoulos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Stergios Topalidis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fondas Tsimidakis in the 80th minute. Lakis Diamantopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zisis Babasidis charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zisis Babasidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute City fc were awarded a corner. Christoforos Peppes went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led City fc's Christoforos Peppes to fire away a dangerous shot which Leonidas Boniatis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Stergios Topalidis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lakis Diamantopoulos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 93 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. NIKH 1924 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
