When Pavlos Spiliotopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C fans jumped to their feet. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Pavlos Spiliotopoulos took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Avraam Iordanopoulos to make any attempt to save it. Ignatios Ioannou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolis Fragakos having to interfere. Mesimιri BC's Ignatios Ioannou got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mesimιri BC's much stronger midfield.
