Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Demis Ferekidis started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fotis Paspalakis in the 11th minute of play forced Mesimιri BC's goalkeeper Avraam Iordanopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Avraam Iordanopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demis Ferekidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Mesimιri BC's goal looked a bit too open when Fotis Paspalakis came free, but Avraam Iordanopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ignatios Ioannou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Notis Zazas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nasos Mavrokordatos's late challenge caught a Bandiera Rossa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nasos Mavrokordatos helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bandiera Rossa booed when Mesimιri BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nasos Mavrokordatos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes of play Mesimιri BC's Nasos Mavrokordatos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Mesimιri BC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Nasos Mavrokordatos hit a great ball. Demis Ferekidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Ignatios Ioannou notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bandiera Rossa's Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis. Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Demis Ferekidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avraam Iordanopoulos having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ignatios Ioannou to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Demis Ferekidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avraam Iordanopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignatios Ioannou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis having to interfere. With a little luck, Mesimιri BC's Avraam Iordanopoulos got control of the ball when Fotis Paspalakis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Avraam Iordanopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demis Ferekidis in the 58th minute of the match. Ignatios Ioannou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bandiera Rossa's Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignatios Ioannou in the 67th minute of play. If Fotis Paspalakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Bandiera Rossa's goal looked a bit too open when Ignatios Ioannou came free, but Chatziantoniou Papachristoulis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 86 in the game by Fotis Paspalakis from a close distance when the talented Avraam Iordanopoulos managed to make a qualified save. Mesimιri BC's players were relieved. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 90th minute, but Avraam Iordanopoulos got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Mesimιri BC hanging dry this time. Fotis Paspalakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Demis Ferekidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
