But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sotiris Roussis couldn't finish the play. Dimos Choutos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Takis Saraliotis in the 17th minute of play. Kostas Gountelitsas was a little too slow when Sotiris Roussis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paris Mavridis during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paris Mavridis kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Paris Mavridis thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Dimos Choutos, a very annoying self made goal in the 24th minute which led to 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in ΜΑΙΑΝΔΡΟΣ's zone, Sotiris Roussis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Gountelitsas came out of the goal and Sotiris Roussis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nikos Riganopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimos Choutos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Takis Saraliotis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th match minute, ΜΑΙΑΝΔΡΟΣ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marinos Karagiorgos to maneuver through the defense. Dimos Choutos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Takis Saraliotis's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Riganopoulos in the 46th minute of play forced Sirαkon's goalkeeper Dimos Choutos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sotiris Roussis to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, ΜΑΙΑΝΔΡΟΣ's goal looked a bit too open when Sotiris Roussis came free, but Kostas Gountelitsas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kostas Gountelitsas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sotiris Roussis, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotiris Roussis in the 84th minute of play forced ΜΑΙΑΝΔΡΟΣ's goalkeeper Kostas Gountelitsas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nikos Riganopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the ΜΑΙΑΝΔΡΟΣ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikos Riganopoulos couldn't finish the play. If Marios Schinas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
