Filippos Mendrinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonidas Boniatis having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Lakis Diamantopoulos came free, but Apostolis Fragakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, NIKH 1924's Lakis Diamantopoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apostolis Fragakos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Zisis Babasidis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NIKH 1924's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C the free kick. After 17 played minutes NIKH 1924 got a freekick which was hit by Zisis Babasidis. Pavlos Spiliotopoulos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Leonidas Boniatis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zisis Babasidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apostolis Fragakos having to interfere. When Lakis Diamantopoulos came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the NIKH 1924 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lakis Diamantopoulos couldn't finish the play. Fondas Tsimidakis succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C's Stavros Lidakis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Leonidas Boniatis but with some difficulty. Takis Kalergis charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Takis Kalergis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Takis Kalergis kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute of the match Ilias Kakouras shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apostolis Fragakos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Fondas Tsimidakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Vaios Balomenos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NIKH 1924 the free kick. A collision led to OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Vaios Balomenos hit a great ball. Leonidas Boniatis made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Pavlos Spiliotopoulos sent off a good shot on target. After the first half NIKH 1924 were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 60th minute Pavlos Spiliotopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonidas Boniatis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. NIKH 1924's Leonidas Boniatis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavlos Spiliotopoulos in the 63rd minute of play. In the 69th minute, Pavlos Spiliotopoulos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 76 minutes into the match, OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C's goalkeeper Apostolis Fragakos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fondas Tsimidakis. After a defensive mix-up in OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C's zone, Fondas Tsimidakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apostolis Fragakos came out of the goal and Fondas Tsimidakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Fondas Tsimidakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NIKH 1924's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fondas Tsimidakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Nontas Tsouloufidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Theagenis Grifisas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. NIKH 1924's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C the free kick. The supporters of OLYMPIAKOS SYROY F.C booed when NIKH 1924 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theagenis Grifisas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the NIKH 1924 players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
