After a defensive mix-up in Mesimιri BC's zone, Menios Xanthatos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avraam Iordanopoulos came out of the goal and Menios Xanthatos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anastasios Liolidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Avraam Iordanopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anastasios Liolidis ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Anka FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Eugenios Vouzas hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Menios Xanthatos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Avraam Iordanopoulos was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Menios Xanthatos in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Avraam Iordanopoulos saved Mesimιri BC from getting behind. Anka FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
